Jharkhand family arrested for sexual abuse of blind minor
A heartbreaking case has come to light in Bariatu, Jharkhand, where a blind minor girl was allegedly abused by her father and two brothers over three years.
Shockingly, her mother reportedly helped hide the crime by arranging two abortions when the girl became pregnant.
The survivor finally shared her story with a neighbor, who supported her in going to the police.
After she filed a complaint, the father, mother, and one brother were arrested.
Statement recorded before magistrate
Police have recorded the girl's statement before a magistrate and completed her medical examination.
According to Manoj Kumar from Bariatu police station, efforts are ongoing to catch the second brother who is still missing.
Authorities say they're committed to ensuring everyone involved is held accountable.
