J&K police crack down on jail-based terror networks after Delhi blast
Jammu and Kashmir Police recently raided two high-security prisons—Kot Bhalwal in Jammu and the district jail in Poonch—to break up terror networks allegedly operating from inside.
These raids followed the discovery of a "white-collar" terror module, which included doctors and professionals, and was linked to Pakistani groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
Raids spark wider crackdown across Kashmir
The action came just days after a deadly car bomb near Delhi's Red Fort killed at least 15 people.
Police seized digital devices and other evidence from the jails, with full support from prison authorities.
Simultaneously, around 500 people connected to banned groups were questioned across 10 districts, with many detained under preventive laws.
The ongoing crackdown is part of a bigger push to disrupt terror networks and keep the region safer.
