What's the story

The candidates who have cleared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2019 exam need to register at the official website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for counselling and seat allocation. Notably, JoSAA is the collective seat allocation authority for IITs, NITs, IIESTs, IIITs and other government-funded institutes. Registrations began yesterday, ie., Sunday, June 16. Eligibility criteria and registration details for JoSAA

All candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) exam are eligible to register for seat allocation in NITs, while those who have qualified JEE-Advanced are eligible for seat allocation in all participating institutes including the IITs. The mock seat allotment can be filled by candidates on June 22, from 10 AM to 5 PM. The candidate registration will end on June 25, 5 PM.

Seat allocation for round 1 shall begin on June 27

The seat allocation for round 1 shall begin at 10 am on June 27, 2019 (Thursday). Document verification and acceptance or withdrawal of seats by reporting at Reporting Centers will take place from 10 am to 5 pm between June 28 (Friday) and July 2, 2019 (5 days). The seat availability status will be displayed at 10 am on July 3, 2019 (Wednesday).

Round 2

When will the seat allocation start for round 2?

The seat allocation for round 2 shall begin at 5 pm on July 3, 2019. Document verification and acceptance or withdrawal of seats by reporting at Reporting Centers will take place from 10 am to 5 pm between July 4 and July 5, 2019 (2 days). The seat availability status will be displayed at 10 am on July 6, 2019 (Saturday).

The seat allocation for round 3 shall begin at 5 pm on July 6, 2019. The document verification and acceptance or withdrawal of seats by reporting at Reporting Centers will take place from 10 am to 5 pm between July 7 and July 8, 2019 (2 days). The seat availability status will be displayed at 10 am on July 9, 2019 (Tuesday).

Round 4: Seat allocation to begin on July 9

The seat allocation for round 4 shall begin at 5 pm on July 9, 2019. The document verification and acceptance or withdrawal of seats by reporting at Reporting Centers will take place from 10 am to 5 pm between July 10 and July 11, 2019 (2 days). The seat availability status will be displayed at 10 am on July 12, 2019 (Friday).

Round 5

Round 5: Seat availability will be displayed on July 15

The seat allocation for round 5 shall begin at 5 pm on July 12, 2019. The document verification and acceptance or withdrawal of seats by reporting at Reporting Centers will take place from 10 am to 5 pm between July 13 and July 14, 2019 (2 days). The seat availability status will be displayed at 10 am on July 15, 2019 (Monday).

The seat allocation for round 6 shall begin at 5 pm on July 15, 2019. The document verification and acceptance or withdrawal of seats by reporting at Reporting Centers will take place from 10 am and 5 pm between July 16 and July 17, 2019 (2 days). The seat availability status will be displayed at 10 am on July 18, 2019 (Thursday).

Round 7: Document verification will take place on July 19

Round 7 seat allocation shall begin at 1pm on July 18, 2019. The document verification and acceptance/withdrawal of seats by reporting at Reporting Centers will take place from 10am to 5pm on July 19, 2019 for IITs, and from July 19-23 for NIT+ system.
