K Kavitha summoned by CBI in Delhi liquor scam
K Kavitha, daughter of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), is back in the spotlight as the CBI summons her over the Delhi liquor policy scam.
The case centers on alleged kickbacks tied to the Delhi excise policy, allegations that it extended undue benefit to a group called the South Group.
The notice was served on Thursday and will be heard in the Delhi High Court on March 16, 2026.
Kavitha was arrested in March 2024
Kavitha was arrested in March 2024 and spent five months in jail and was later released.
Earlier, a Rouse Avenue Court discharged the accused, including Kavitha, saying there was no real evidence of a big conspiracy, and even criticized the CBI's approach.
But now, after the CBI appealed that decision (calling it "perverse"), things are heating up again.
Kavitha says she's received the new notice and is ready to cooperate fully with investigators.
