Karnataka: 5-month-pregnant woman dies by suicide, in-laws named

Nayana, a 19-year-old who was five months pregnant, reportedly died by suicide in Karnataka's Ramanagara district.
She had been married for about nine months, according to one account.
According to her family, ongoing mental harassment and cruelty from her husband (named in one account as Sunil) and his parents pushed her to this tragic step.
Case registered, body sent for postmortem
Nayana's parents have filed a complaint against her husband and his family, saying the constant disputes at home led to her death.
Police have registered a case and are currently questioning her husband and his parents as part of their investigation into the allegations.
Nayana's body has been sent for postmortem as inquiries continue.
