Karnataka Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Rizwan Arshad pointed out that drivers could lose around ₹62,000 crore a year from lower mileage and another ₹39,000 crore in extra servicing bills.
The state also wants more transparency about what's actually going into our fuel, and is pushing for stricter checks to protect consumers.
