Karnataka government accuses RCB of rule violation

India

RCB's big victory parade in Bengaluru on June 4 has landed them in hot water with the Karnataka government. Officials say the team only told the cricket association about the event late on June 3, but never actually got official approval. In court, Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty pointed out that RCB skipped key permissions after their IPL win and didn't share proper crowd control plans—even as they hyped up fans online.

Parade was organized by RCB and KSCA, not state

The government clarified that RCB and KSCA were all involved in organizing the parade—not the state itself. Security and stadium access were managed by RCB and DNA. The celebration saw the squad riding through packed city streets as thousands of fans cheered them on. But despite the excitement, questions about planning and permissions have left a cloud over this memorable moment for fans.
