Karnataka government suspends 3 officers over false accusation

Three Karnataka police officers have been suspended after wrongly arresting Kurubara Suresh, a tribal laborer, for his wife's murder.
Suresh spent nearly 18 months in jail before it turned out his wife Mallige was actually alive and living with her boyfriend.
The case is now under investigation.

Man seeks ₹5 crore in compensation

Suresh had reported his wife missing in 2020, but police arrested him when they found a skeleton they thought was hers.
Friends later discovered Mallige safe and sound, leading to Suresh's release and all charges being dropped.
Now, Suresh is asking the Karnataka High Court for ₹5 crore in compensation and wants stricter action against the officers involved.
The identity of the skeleton remains a mystery.
