Karnataka woman assaulted and robbed, accused shot

After identifying Yaragatti through photos, police tracked him down near the Dandeli-Yellapur highway. When officers tried to arrest him, he fought back with stones and a knife—injuring two policemen. Sub-Inspector Kiran Patil responded by shooting him in the leg after warning shots. Both Yaragatti and the injured officers are now being treated at Dandeli Government Hospital as investigations continue under senior supervision.
