Karnataka youth rapes 14-year-old sister; she gives birth

A 21-year-old from Koppal, Karnataka, has been arrested for allegedly raping his minor sister.
The crime came to light when the girl was hospitalized with severe back pain and unexpectedly delivered a baby—she hadn't known she was pregnant.

Case registered under POCSO Act

According to her statement, the abuse began in February. Her brother reportedly forced her into sex by promising marriage and threatening self-harm if she spoke out.
After she shared what happened, police registered a case under the POCSO Act and section 64(2)(m) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The accused is now in judicial custody.
