Kati Bihu, Diwali: Check bank holidays in October 2025
If you need to visit a bank in October 2025, plan ahead—there are quite a few holidays lined up.
Banks in Guwahati, Assam are closed on Saturday, October 18 for Kati Bihu.
Even though it's Dhanteras, banks stay open in most places that day.
Across India, banks will be closed on Sundays (October 19 and 26), and several states—including Delhi, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Gujarat—will see closures for Diwali on Monday, October 20.
More breaks follow for Diwali Amavasya and Govardhan Puja (October 21-22), and Bhai Dooj brings another holiday on October 23 in some states.
