India
A serious road accident in Kerala's Malappuram district on Thursday morning left three people dead after their car crashed into a private bus near Morayur around 8am.
The victims, Sakkeena and Shiyas from Olavakkode, Palakkad, and Basila from Pandikkad, were returning from Kozhikode airport when the crash happened.
Investigation underway, police collecting evidence
Two others in the car, Afrida and Ibrahim, were injured but are now stable in the hospital with fractures.
Police have started an investigation and collected CCTV footage from the bus to figure out what went wrong.
Early reports suggest the car lost control before hitting the bus.
Authorities are working to release the bodies to families after postmortem formalities, a tough reminder for everyone about road safety.
