A 43-year-old battling the Nipah virus in Kerala has received a second dose of monoclonal antibody therapy, Health Minister K Muraleedharan shared today.
Even with this treatment, the patient's condition is still serious, and they're on a ventilator.
No new Nipah cases in Kerala
No fresh Nipah cases have popped up, and health teams are keeping an eye on 103 contacts.
Good news: a health care worker tested negative twice, and two family members under observation have been discharged symptom-free.
One more family member is being watched in the hospital as a precaution.
Meanwhile, a central team checked out a private hospital in Feroke where the infected person sought treatment earlier.
