A Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) assistant engineer, Pradeep N, was arrested in Kochi after being caught red-handed by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB).
He allegedly took a bribe to fast-track a permanent electricity connection for a construction project near Panampilly Nagar.
The sting operation happened at Thevara junction bus stop on Wednesday.

The whole thing started when Pradeep first asked for ₹1.5 lakh, but later requested ₹90,000.
