Leopard abducts toddler in Tamil Nadu, search operations initiated

A leopard carried off a four-year-old girl from her house in Valparai, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday evening, heading straight into the nearby forest.
The incident has left the local community shaken, and police along with forest officials jumped into action right away to find her.

Search on across hilly terrain

Forest and police teams are working together through the night—using drones, sniffer dogs, and searchlights—to track both the child and the leopard across tough hilly terrain.
Authorities have asked everyone to stay indoors after dark and keep a close watch on kids while the search continues.
