Maharashtra records 37 fresh COVID-19 cases

Maharashtra just logged 37 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the state's total to 2,318 since January.
Thankfully, no new deaths have been reported since Thursday—the death toll holds at 32.
Out of more than 25,000 tests done so far this year, the recovery rate is approximately 84%.

TL;DR

Most new infections popped up in Mumbai

Most new infections popped up in Mumbai (19), with Pune (7) and Nagpur (5) trailing behind.
Other districts saw just one or two cases each.
Of the 32 people who've died this year, nearly all had other health issues.

Mumbai remains state's COVID-19 hotspot

Mumbai remains the state's hotspot with a whopping 942 cases so far in 2023—over half of those came in May and June alone.
The steady rise shows COVID-19 is still circulating here, so testing and tracking aren't going anywhere just yet.
