Fire breaks out at Kalindi Kunj, Magenta Metro line affected

On Friday morning, a massive fire broke out at a furniture market near Kalindi Kunj Metro station affecting train services on the Magenta line. The fire was reported at 5:55 AM and is yet to be doused. Firefighting operations are underway and 17 fire tenders are at the spot. A fire official said there have been no casualties so far. Here are more details.

Train services stopped between Jasola Vihar, Shaheen Bagh, Kalindi Kunj

Soon after the incident, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) put out a tweet that read, "Train movement has been stopped temporarily between Jasola Vihar, Shaheen Bagh and Kalindi Kunj due to smoke and fire from a fire underneath the section." All these aforementioned stations come one after the other. The halt in services is bound to affect the general public during the rush hours.

Meanwhile, short loops are being run between Janakpuri and Jasola

In yet another tweet, DMRC informed that short loops are being run between Janakpuri West and Jasola Vihar, Shaheen Bagh. It added services have been temporarily shut between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden. "We regret the inconvenience," said DMRC.

DMRC suggested an alternative route for passengers
