What's the story

The Delhi Police Special Cell has busted a terror module linked to Pakistan-backed gangster Shahzad Bhatti that was supplying weapons and drugs to Indian gangsters via drones, Times Now reported. The police arrested three members of the module, identified as Hargunpreet Singh from Punjab, Vikas Prajapati from Datia in Madhya Pradesh, and Arif from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. The accused were reportedly linked to a hand grenade attack outside the Gurdaspur City police station on November 25.

Bhatti's role in orchestrating terror activities

Bhatti, who is currently based in Dubai, was allegedly giving directions from outside and directly handling this group. Additional Commissioner of Police Pramod Kumar Kushwaha said that Bhatti was "currently working at the behest of the Intelligence Agency of Pakistan." The police officer added that Bhatti was running terror activities using young boys recruited through social media apps and other contacts.

Bhatti's connections and threats to Anmol Bishnoi

Bhatti had close links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and was involved in high-profile targeted killings, including those of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. The alliance between the two gangs soured after Bhatti helped Zeeshan Akhtar escape India. Notably, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, had expressed concern over threats he received from Bhatti on social media.
