The postmortem report of 54-year-old Manipuri musician Chongtham Vikram Singh, who was assaulted in southeast Delhi's Kilokari village on September 7 and died later around 6:32am after being taken to Holy Family Hospital, has revealed shocking details. The report stated that Singh succumbed to hemorrhagic shock due to blunt force trauma to his chest and abdomen. The assault was reportedly triggered by his objections to noise from a nearby dhaba.

The autopsy report detailed multiple abrasions on Singh's head, face, neck, limbs, chest, and back. It also noted fractured ribs and a splenic laceration.
Seven men have been arrested in connection with the case. They are Bharat Kumar (19), Pramod (26), Ramzan Khan (22), Deepanshu (21), Mohan Vishwakarma (32), Vijay (36) and Mannu (26).
A juvenile was also detained by the police.

Accused wanted to 'teach him a lesson'
The accused allegedly told police during questioning that they wanted to "teach him a lesson" for his complaints about the noise but didn't intend for the attack to be fatal.
The suspects are employed as dhaba staff and delivery workers.
Police are probing all angles of the case, including any potential racial motives behind the attack on Singh.

Singh's son Yaiphaba witnessed the assault and rushed his father to Holy Family Hospital after he complained of breathlessness.
The FIR filed at Sunlight Colony police station by Yaiphaba mentions Section 103(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder in such circumstances.
Despite an initial positive response to treatment, Singh suffered a hemorrhage and died at around 6:32am on September 8.
