'Massive success': Unraveling the Pahalgam attack
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a big breakthrough in the Pahalgam massacre case, where 26 people lost their lives.
Investigators have now identified three Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists who targeted tourists based on religion at Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam.
The case had been under the scanner for one-and-a-half months before this progress.
Arrest of 2 local men
Two local men—Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar and Bashir Ahmad Jothar—have been arrested for giving shelter and support to the attackers before the incident.
The NIA is questioning them to find out where the militants are hiding now.
This new identification of suspects marks a shift from earlier police sketches and is helping authorities step up their hunt for those still on the run.
