Mumbai teacher's manipulative tactics in student assault
A 40-year-old English teacher from a leading school in Mumbai has been arrested under the POCSO Act for repeatedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old Class 11 student over more than a year.
The abuse reportedly began in January 2024, after the teacher developed an inappropriate interest in the student during school event preparations.
How the teacher manipulated the student
When the student resisted, the teacher involved a female friend to convince him that their relationship was normal and that they were "made for each other."
The teacher then took him to secluded places and hotels, where she gave him alcohol and anti-anxiety pills before assaulting him.
Case registered
The student's parents became concerned after noticing changes in his behavior but only reported it when the teacher tried to contact him post-graduation.
Police have now arrested the teacher and charged her accomplice, confirming multiple instances of assault involving coercion and intoxication.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities gather more evidence.
