Murmu lauds Indian military's teamwork during Operation Sindoor
President Droupadi Murmu has applauded the Indian Armed Forces for their teamwork and strategic action during Operation Sindoor.
Launched in May 2025, the operation saw all three military branches work together to strike nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, following a tragic terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 tourists.
President points out reforms like integrated theatre commands
Operation Sindoor put India's modern military tech on display—think precision missiles and targeted strikes—while deliberately avoiding Pakistani military installations.
President Murmu also pointed out big reforms like Integrated Theatre Commands and a new Department of Military Affairs, all aimed at making the forces more unified and ready for complex challenges.
She called these changes crucial for keeping India prepared in today's fast-changing security landscape.
