Nearly half of Bengaluru voters flagged asDDO in Karnataka cleanup
Nearly half of Bengaluru's registered voters, about 4.94 million people, have been flagged as "Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate, or Other" (ASDDO) in Karnataka's big voter list cleanup.
Statewide, over 11 million names are under review, which is around 20% of all voters in Karnataka.

If you're a Bengaluru voter, it's worth double-checking your status on the Chief Electoral Officer's website.
If your name is flagged, you can fix it by contacting your booth-level officer with proof of address by August 8.
The draft list comes out on August 17, and updates or corrections can be made until October 15.
Congress raises concerns, officials call routine
Congress has raised concerns that this process might target their supporters, but election officials say it's just routine maintenance to keep the rolls accurate, removing names of people who've moved away or passed on.
