NIA probes Pulwama doctors' links to Pakistan-based terror groups

India

A car bomb near Delhi's Red Fort killed 10 and injured 21, putting the spotlight on two suspects—Dr. Umar Un-Nabi and Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie from Pulwama.
The NIA is now leading the investigation, looking into their alleged role in radical activities and possible links to global terror networks.

Both traveled to Turkey in 2022 for 'terror training'

According to investigators, both doctors traveled to Turkey in 2022 and reportedly met Jaish-e-Mohammed handlers as part of their radicalization.
They're also accused of using a Faridabad medical college's resources—including storing nearly three tons of ammonium nitrate—to plan attacks across North India.
While Dr. Muzammil has been arrested in connection with radical posters being put up in the Kashmir Valley, Dr. Umar remains on the run as police continue their search.
