Noida murder mystery: Lover confesses to killing 27-year-old woman
The case of Preeti Yadav, whose headless body was found in a Noida drain on November 6, has been solved.
Her lover, Monu Solanki—a married bus driver—admitted to killing her after police uncovered evidence linking him to the crime.
Yadav had been missing for 5-6 days, and investigators traced her disappearance back to Solanki after reviewing CCTV footage, tracking vehicles, and acting on a tip-off.
How police cracked the case
Police reviewed thousands of CCTV clips and tracked over a thousand vehicles before zeroing in on Solanki's bus near the crime scene.
He was arrested on November 14 after a tip-off.
During questioning, Solanki confessed he killed Yadav following an argument and tried to hide his tracks by disposing of her remains in separate locations.
The recovery of the murder weapon and his bus sealed the case against him.
