Odisha government requests public input on Puri stampede

After a deadly stampede at Puri's Rath Yatra on June 28—which sadly took three lives and left over 50 injured—the Odisha government is urging anyone who witnessed the incident to share what they saw.
Officials want to make sure the investigation covers all angles and truly understands what went wrong.

How to submit evidence

If you have any info, you can submit evidence in person on July 9 or 10 at government offices in Bhubaneswar or Puri, with a final deadline of July 20.
The probe, led by top officials, is reviewing CCTV footage and festival security plans.
In response to the tragedy, key district leaders have been transferred and two senior officers suspended.
Now, senior IAS and IPS officers are stepping in to oversee festival safety going forward—hopefully preventing anything like this from happening again.
