Parents kill daughter (15) for befriending local boys in UP

In Prayagraj's Kanti village, a 15-year-old girl named Sarita was killed by her own parents, Ramesh and his wife, on November 5.
Police say the couple admitted to murdering her because they were upset about her alleged friendship with local boys.
Sarita's body was found near some bushes the next day.

Forensics, police dog confirm parents' involvement

At first, Ramesh tried to mislead police about how Sarita died but later confessed.
Investigators believe Sarita's mother gave Sarita sedatives before Ramesh killed her with a sharp weapon that night.
Forensics confirmed she died overnight—not in the morning as claimed by the parents—and a police dog traced evidence back to their home.
Both parents are now in custody while the investigation continues.
