Petrol bombs thrown at RSS office in Ranchi

Petrol bombs were at the RSS office in Ranchi in Jharkhand early Wednesday morning. BJP leader Sanjay Seth said the attack took place around 1:00am, when two youths threw petrol bombs at the Sangh office. "It indicates a big conspiracy. We have spoken to the DC. The senior SP is not returning our calls. We have requested to establish a police picket near the Sangh's office," he told the media.

Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly, Babulal Marandi, also confirmed the attack, saying the attackers came by car with motorbikes accompanying them. "This is a serious matter...It was preparation for bigger incident. We have spoken to the DC on it," he said. The attack comes days after a bomb threat email directed at RSS headquarters in Nagpur led to an extensive security operation. The email was sent to Mayor Neeta Thakre, claiming bombs had been planted at key RSS premises.
Search operation
BDDS team inspects locations
In response, security agencies launched a thorough search of the RSS headquarters in Mahal and Dr Hedgewar Smruti Bhavan in Reshimbagh. A Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) was called in to inspect the premises. The team conducted a thorough search of the locations mentioned in the email. However, after completing their investigation, officials confirmed that no suspicious objects or explosive materials were found at either site.
