PM-KISAN: Over 27L farmers in 3 states get ₹540cr
Recently, the government released the latest PM-KISAN payment to help farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand recover from recent floods and landslides.
Over ₹540 crore landed straight in the bank accounts of more than 27 lakh farmers to address their immediate needs.
Each farmer gets ₹2,000 every 4 months
Himachal's 8 lakh+ farmers received ₹160 crore, Punjab's 11 lakh+ got ₹222 crore, and Uttarakhand's nearly 8 lakh saw ₹158 crore credited.
Since PM-KISAN kicked off back in February 2019, these three states alone have received over ₹13,600 crore!
Plus, each farmer gets ₹2,000 every four months—enough to help with basics like seeds or household costs.
And after this year's disasters, a special relief package of ₹4,300 crore was also announced.
How to check if money has arrived
Farmers can quickly check if their money has arrived by logging onto the official PM-KISAN portal using their Aadhaar or mobile number.
States hit hardest by floods got early payments; other states will get theirs as per the regular schedule.
