Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to open a brand-new terminal at Guwahati's main airport soon.
This upgrade will handle over 1.3 crore passengers each year, making travel in the northeast easier and putting Guwahati on the map as a major flight hub.

Modi will also kick off work on a huge ₹10,601 crore fertilizer plant in Namrup, which should help local farmers with steady fertilizer supplies.
