  • Sardar Raees Inqlabi, a leader in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), has accused Pakistan of paying massive sums of money to terrorists who cross the Line-of-Control (LoC).

Inqlabi stated that these terrorists were pushed across the border and turned into "bombs"; they were also paid Rs.1 crore to do so.

He also questioned Pakistan's motive for allowing banned terror-outfits to "have a free hand in PoK".

    Pakistan's stand on supporting terror
  • Pakistan has consistently pleaded innocence with respect to involvement in terror-related activities especially in regards to India.

However, according to official estimates, in this year alone, the Pakistani Army has violated the 2003 ceasefire arrangement between India and Pakistan, over 440 times along the Line-of-Control (LoC).

As recently as last month, Indian security forces released video evidence that showed infiltration attempts by Pakistan-backed terrorists.

  • According to official reports, over 100 militants that claim allegiance to terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, reside in terror training camps in PoK and wait for opportune moments to cross into India.

The Pakistani Army reportedly aids the infiltration by providing cover fire at the time terrorists are crossing the LoC and by sheltering them prior to their journey into India.

Recent attacks on Indian army camps

  • Some of the prominent attacks include the attack on Uri army base on September 18, 2016 and the attack on the Baramulla army base on October 2, 2016.

    Inqlabi condemns Pakistan-supported terrorism

  • Inqlabi said, "Those terror outfits which are banned in Pakistan in accordance with the National Action Plan, why are they being allowed to operate from 'Azad' Kashmir (PoK)? We condemn this terrorism. If you are so fond of firing, you must fight army to army."

    PoK leader's other allegations
  • Inqlabi, the leader of a PoK-based 'Jammu and Kashmir Aman Forum' accused the Pakistani government of blatant discrimination with regards to victims of terror.

He claimed that if someone died of a bomb-blast in Pakistan, the victim's family was given Rs.50 lakh as compensation whereas terror victims' families in PoK received a measly Rs.1-2 lakh in comparison.

  • Quote

    Sardar Inqlabi's demands

  • "Those organizations which are banned by Pakistan have been given free hand here (PoK) and along the LoC, and thus, we demand that Islamabad must impose a blanket ban on such outfits akin to the National Action Plan in Pakistan."
