Prayagraj: Doctor flags alleged child abuse at city school

India

A five-year-old boy in Prayagraj was reportedly singled out by his class teacher, who left him out of group photos shared with parents for months and denied it when asked.
Things escalated during a Halloween event on November 14, when the boy was again excluded from photos.
After the parents requested the photos, the next day the teacher punished the child by making him stand for two periods as punishment for forgetting a book.
He later complained of pain in his thigh and groin that needed medical care.
A doctor brought the issue to light on social media, but the boy's father is hesitant to file a complaint, worried it might make things worse for his son.

Not the 1st case: Previous abuse incident in same city

In a previous case in Prayagraj, a four-year-old nursery student died after allegedly being slapped by two teachers.
The postmortem found injuries near his eye, tongue, and private parts, raising concerns about possible sexual abuse.
Police registered an FIR against the teachers for culpable homicide; both are being dismissed and an investigation is ongoing with CCTV footage under review.
