Pune bans liquor sales during Ganeshotsav on Sep 14, 25
India
Heads up, Pune! The city is putting a pause on liquor sales during Ganeshotsav to keep things safe and peaceful.
There's a full citywide ban on September 14 (Ganesh Chaturthi) and September 25 (Anant Chaturdashi), plus extra restrictions in Khadak, Vishrambag, and Faraskhana police areas from September 14-26, especially along the immersion routes.
Khadak Vishrambag Faraskhana liquor sales banned
If you're in Khadak, Vishrambag, or Faraskhana zones, expect no liquor sales from September 14-25, and even longer if immersion processions run late.
Authorities have appealed to liquor sellers and the public to follow the order, and officials are serious about enforcement.
Everyone's being asked to cooperate so the celebrations stay smooth and trouble-free.
