Pune-Mumbai just got closer: New expressway to slash travel time

Big news for anyone traveling between Pune and Mumbai—the NHAI has approved a new eight-lane expressway that'll cut the trip down to just 90 minutes.
With a budget of ₹15,000 crore, this highway will connect Mumbai's Atal Setu to Pune's proposed Ring Road and is designed to handle nearly three lakh vehicles every day.

What's different about this route?

Unlike current routes, the new expressway will bypass Pune city entirely, making drives toward Satara, Kolhapur, and Bengaluru much smoother.
