India
Punjab Police's counter-intelligence team busted a cross-border arms smuggling ring with ties to Pakistan on October 11, 2025.
Three men from Tarn Taran district—Mahesh alias Ashu Masih, Angrej Singh, and Arshdeep Singh—were arrested in Amritsar while allegedly moving weapons meant for local gangs.
Investigators tracking local gangsters, cross-border links
The trio was caught near Bhoose village carrying eight pistols, reportedly dropped by drones from across the border.
Investigators say they were following orders from a Pakistan-based smuggler to supply these guns to Punjab gangsters.
Two of the accused were already wanted under the Arms Act.
Police are now digging deeper into the network to track down other local helpers and cross-border links involved in this arms trade.
