Rajasthan: Drunk passengers threaten bus crew at gunpoint over liquor

India

On Wednesday near Deda village in Rajasthan, a group of armed miscreants stopped a private bus headed from Jaisalmer to Delhi.
Two men entered the bus, one wore a mask, the other had a gun—they fired shots in the air, boarded the bus, and demanded ₹5,000 for liquor from the crew.
When staff refused, the attackers threatened them at gunpoint and slapped some of them, scaring everyone onboard.
Before leaving, they fired another shot inside as a warning but didn't injure anyone.

Both accused men are likely to be arrested soon

The bus owner filed a complaint and police have CCTV footage of one suspect outside the bus.
Special teams are now searching for both accused men—Buddh Singh Sodha and Shravan Singh Khirja—with arrests expected soon.
Despite the chaos, passengers insisted on continuing their journey to Delhi.
Thankfully, everyone made it through without injuries as police continue their investigation.
