Rajasthan is baking under a fierce heatwave right now—Sri Ganganagar just hit 48°C, which is way above normal for this time of year. The extreme heat isn't just in Rajasthan; places like Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi are also feeling it.

IMD issues orange, yellow alerts

Western Rajasthan's cities like Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bikaner are all topping 47°C. The IMD has put out orange and yellow alerts because the hot winds and dust aren't letting up yet. It's uncomfortable and can be risky for health—but the good news is temperatures should start dropping from June 14, with possible thunderstorms bringing relief soon after.
