Rajnath Singh dedicates record 125 BRO projects to nation

India

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh just dedicated 125 new Border Roads Organization (BRO) projects—comprising roads, bridges, and other key assets—spread across Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, and seven other states.
Worth ₹5,000 crore in total, it's the biggest single-day launch ever for BRO.
The ceremony even included a virtual inauguration of the Galwan War Memorial.

Why should you care?

These new roads and bridges aren't just about military strategy—they'll make it easier for people living in remote border areas to stay connected year-round.
Singh highlighted how this boost in infrastructure means faster movement for troops and better support during tough winters.
With BRO's budget now at a record high ₹16,690 crore for FY 2024-25 and an enhanced outlay for the following year, the government is doubling down on both security and development at India's borders.
