Rijiju at BRICS: India seeks peace, rejects China's Arunachal renaming
India's union minister Kiren Rijiju made it clear that while India wants peaceful relations with China, it won't budge on its borders.
Speaking at the BRICS dialogues, he said, "India wants peace but will not compromise on its territory."
He also called out China's attempts to rename places in Arunachal Pradesh as "tactical games," firmly stating the state isn't part of Chinese history.

Rijiju emphasized that people in Arunachal Pradesh are ready to face any challenge and India is prepared to defend its land.
He acknowledged China's push to build up border infrastructure but assured that India is matching those efforts.
While he avoided sharing personal opinions about China, he stressed the importance of strengthening India's own border capabilities.
