Rohan Parekh arrested showing fake PMO ID, lawyer says harmless
India
Rohan Parekh was arrested on September 7 for showing a fake Prime Minister's Office (PMO) ID at Jio World Plaza, just before PM Modi's visit nearby.
His lawyer says the event rules weren't clearly shared and insists Parekh didn't cause any harm.
Police allege AI-made fake PMO ID
Parekh claims he was simply shopping for his fiance and had no bad intentions.
Police, though, say he made the fake ID with AI and search history linked to drafting PMO correspondence on his phone.
He's asking for bail because of health issues and worries about his career.
The court will hear arguments on September 17.
