RSS centenary: Modi calls it 'virtuous incarnation' of India's spirit

To mark the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) turning 100 this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a blog calling the group a "virtuous incarnation" of India's spirit.
He shared his thoughts on X, highlighting how RSS—founded by KB Hedgewar on Vijayadashami—has spent a century focused on nation-building and volunteer-driven service.

'Nation First' approach

Modi pointed out RSS's work in areas like education, women's empowerment, tribal welfare, disaster relief, and fighting discrimination.
He credited the organization for keeping patriotism and cultural traditions alive while also taking on modern issues like demographic changes and environmental protection.
Modi called their "Nation First" approach an inspiring chapter in India's story.
