India

The EC now has two weeks to explain its side, following petitions from DMK, CPI(M), Congress (West Bengal), and Trinamool Congress leaders.

The halted revision was set to run from November 4 to December 4 across 12 states, prepping for the 2026 elections.
Draft voter lists were supposed to drop December 9, with final versions due by February 7 next year—though Assam will follow a different schedule.
