Shahjahanpur woman Julie dies after surgery by allegedly drunk doctor
A heartbreaking incident in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Julie, a 22-year-old pregnant woman, died after surgery by a doctor who was allegedly intoxicated.
She was on her way to a government hospital for delivery when the ambulance driver redirected her to a private facility.
There, Dr. KP, reportedly drunk, performed the operation.
Doctors booked under BNS 105
Julie gave birth to a baby boy, but her health quickly worsened and she passed away while being taken for further treatment. The newborn is now under medical care.
Police registered a case against Dr KP and Dr Firoz under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation is underway, as Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Diksha Bhaware said the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death is underway.
