Anaya Sharma, an 18-year-old Indian Air Force aspirant, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on a Jaipur expressway on Wednesday morning. The incident took place when she was jogging with her sister on the Shanti Bagh stretch of the expressway. A speeding black Mahindra Thar SUV hit her from behind, leaving Anaya with critical injuries. She was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Driver flees scene, abandons vehicle
After the accident, the driver of the Thar SUV fled the scene. The vehicle later collided with another car on the road before being abandoned near Dadi ka Phatak. The driver then escaped on foot. The Kardhani Police Station has registered a case and seized the abandoned Thar SUV for further investigation.
