SpiceJet cancels Delhi to Pune flight after 8 hour delays
A SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Pune was canceled around 1am on Friday, September 11, 2026 after passengers waited through multiple delays, some for just over eight hours.
People had already checked in, got their boarding passes, and were waiting at the gate when the airline finally called off the flight around 1am leaving everyone stranded overnight.
Kartik Joshi seeks refund confirmation
One passenger, Kartik Joshi, said he and his wife were ready to board when they learned about the cancelation.
He criticized SpiceJet for not offering help or alternatives and sought confirmation of the ticket refund, asking the airline to acknowledge his complaint within 48 hours and provide a clear response within two working days.
Joshi also warned he will escalate things to aviation authorities if his issue isn't resolved soon.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has shared his concern to the concerned airlines for further processing.
