Srinagar police summon Iltija Mufti after officer bite allegation

Iltija Mufti, daughter of PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, has been called in by Srinagar police after a protest on August 4 turned messy.
Police say Iltija bit an officer's forearm during the demonstration against the scrapping of Article 370, leaving him injured.
Iltija Mufti alleges police manhandled her
The protest, marking seven years since Article 370 was revoked, got heated outside the PDP office.
Authorities claim some protesters tried to block Residency Road and march to Lal Chowk, ignoring requests to stay peaceful.
Iltija says she was manhandled by police and showed injuries on her arms.
She was briefly hospitalized but discharged the next day.
Iltija Mufti to appear at Kothibagh
Police have asked Iltija to come to Kothibagh police station on August 7 as part of their ongoing investigation.
