Surat: Young physiotherapist dies by suicide days before her wedding
Radhika, a 28-year-old physiotherapist from Surat, died by suicide on Friday evening, just weeks before her planned January 2026 wedding.
She reportedly jumped from the ninth floor of a business hub around 8pm.
Police have started investigating and have taken her phone for further examination.
What we know so far
On her last day, Radhika followed her usual routine at work and then visited the Tea Partner Cafe, where she quietly had tea and spoke on the phone for about 20 minutes.
According to cafe staffer Kobid Ali, she seemed normal before the incident.
Police found a WhatsApp message to her fiance saying, "Tum apne mata-pita ko chhoti-chhoti baatein mat batana...(Don't mention every small matters to your parents." and are speaking with her family to understand more.
A postmortem is being done as part of the ongoing investigation.
