Tamil Nadu: Trainer plane makes emergency landing on highway

A small trainer plane had to make an unexpected landing right on the Tiruchi-Pudukottai national highway in Tamil Nadu around lunchtime on Thursday.
Luckily, both the pilot and another occupant walked away without a scratch.
The Cessna 172, run by a Salem-based flight school, was forced down because of technical trouble during a training session.

Police on spot to manage traffic

Police from Keeranur sub-division showed up fast to handle traffic and keep things running smoothly near the landing spot.
Thanks to their quick thinking, there wasn't much chaos for drivers.
Officials are now looking into what went wrong with the plane's systems.
