Teacher hides student's death; classmates write farewell letters

India

A third-grade boy from Huainan, China, passed away recently. His teacher, not wanting to upset the class, told students he had just switched schools.
Believing this, his classmates wrote him sweet farewell letters and packed up gifts like fruit-shaped erasers and game cards.
The teacher later gave these heartfelt messages and gifts to the boy's parents along with flowers.

Remembering their friend

The boy was known for his bright smile, fun stories, and love of street dancing. He was especially good at English and always cheered up his friends.
According to his teacher's social media post, he passed away peacefully during a family drive in Shanghai—smiling gently until the end.

Messages that say it all

His classmates poured their feelings into their letters—inviting him for Sunday playdates or a fruit tea party if he ever felt lonely.
One boy tearfully told the teacher, "I really miss him, I hope he comes back."
