Telangana braces for chilly days as IMD issues cold wave alert
Heads up, Telangana! The weather department has put out a cold wave alert for December 19, covering districts like Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy.
Hyderabad can expect clear skies but also some morning fog and mist. Temperatures are set to dip by 2-3°C, with lows around 13°C and daytime highs near 30°C—so you might want to keep that sweater handy.
How cold is it getting?
Recent data shows the chill is real: Sirpur in Kumram Bheem Asifabad just hit a low of 5.7°C.
Thirteen districts saw temperatures drop below 10°C, while even Hyderabad's Marredpally dipped to 11°C.
With so many places waking up to single-digit temps, the IMD's alert is a reminder to stay warm and look out for each other this week.
